Born in Alexandra, Central Otago, Prophecy Distilling is the creation of siblings and lifelong friends brought together by a shared appreciation for the outdoors, good company, and the simple moments that matter most.

Its story began in the rugged Kopuwai Range, gathering wild botanicals amongst the schist and thyme beneath the watchful silhouette of Prophet's Rock. Around a campfire, conversations turned to creating something meaningful—an excuse to slow down, share a drink, and dream about what could be.

That philosophy remains at the heart of Prophecy Distilling today. Inspired by generations of resourceful New Zealanders who believed in making something extraordinary from very little, every spirit reflects a respect for craftsmanship, creativity, and the natural landscape that shaped it.

From uncomplicated beginnings came a simple belief: life's best moments are rarely the most elaborate. They're found in great spirits, shared with good people, surrounded by the places that inspire them. That's the prophecy that continues to guide every bottle crafted in Central Otago.
